The funds that have been collected thus far, will be used for 2 things: 1000 euros for PR & Marketing as specified in the original budget, which will be used to make a booklet about the results of the investigation and includes a historical background as well. This will be used to spread the information among locals and tourists, drawing more attention to the underwater cultural heritage of the island. The booklets will be made available free of charge at the dive shops, national parks service headquarters, and hotels. The remaining 568 euros will, as specified in the original budget, be used to purchase safety equipment for the project, in the form of 2 nautilus lifelines. The amount of 2432 euros for employment and transportation that was not funded, I will fund using my own budget for the larger project. The plan is still the same; to find the remains of the fleet of 7 ships that were lost in the Great Hurricane of 1780 on St. Eustatius' northern coast, by side scan sonar and diving surveys.
